A Bailar! is our Saturday Salsa & Bachata social — a night designed for dancers to learn, practise, connect, and enjoy the dance floor together.
The Classes
Start the evening with a pre-social class that helps you warm up, build confidence, and get ready for the dance floor.
The Music
A balanced night of Salsa and Bachata, keeping the floor moving and giving you space to practise both styles.

A warm Latin Roots atmosphere where students, members, guests, and dancers from the wider scene can come together.

A Bailar! takes place at LifeCare Centre, 2 Cheyne Street, Edinburgh EH4 1JB — a welcoming space for our Saturday Salsa & Bachata socials.
Before you join us
Do I need to be a Latin Roots member?
No. A Bailar! is open to Latin Roots members, students, guests, and dancers from the wider community. Active Latin Roots members should book through their GymDesk profile as usual.
Do I need a partner?
No. You do not need to bring a partner. Many people come on their own, and the classes and social are designed around dancing with different people throughout the night.
Which class should I choose?
Choose Improvers if you are still building confidence with the basics, Intermediate if you are comfortable with partnerwork and ready for more detail, and Advanced if you already have strong experience and want a bigger challenge.
Can I come just for the social?
Yes. Choose the Party Only Pass if you want to arrive from 8:30pm and join the social dancing without taking a pre-social class.
What music will be played?
The night is focused on Salsa and Bachata, with a balanced mix designed to keep the room moving and give dancers space to enjoy both styles.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable that you can move in. Flat shoes or dance shoes are best. Avoid shoes that are too grippy, heavy, or difficult to turn in.
Are passes refundable?
Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please make sure you choose the correct option before booking.
